Dedicated to Aphrodite
This morning I was made aware that today is 6 of June (6) 2022 (2+2+2=6), triple 6.
Many know this number as being the number of the devil. However..
The number 6 was in ancient times connected to the Goddess Aphrodite (Venus), which Goddess is considered the equivalent of Inanna, Ishtar, Astarte, Hathor and or Isis.
Six in latin means sex. In ancient Egyptian it meant: to embrace, to copulate. Aphrodite being the Goddess of Love, Beauty, Fertility, Sexuality and Sensuality it will make sense that the number six was associated with her. On another note Aphrodite is much associated with the union between the feminine and masculine within each of us, the “twins within” so to say, Gemini being the zodiac sign ruling most of the 6th month.
But why triple six then? Because of the concept of the Triple Goddess, the Sacred Feminine being divided into three phases: virginity (birth, innocence), motherhood (fertility), the crone (decay/death). Also parallel to the cycles we can find back in nature.
With patriarchal societies and Christianity coming up, sexuality was pushed into the corner of the sinful. Aphrodite got denigrated and associated with evil, and eventually demonized. The name Astaroth (remember Astarte being mentioned earlier !) was assigned to a male demon.
So maybe we ponder a little about the number 6-6-6 being connected to the devil. It might be more accurate saying it got hijacked by the people demonizing the sacred feminine. Maybe it’s time to rethink what we think we know about what the devil or demonic really is.

666 is the extension of Tiphareth, the sixth sephora on the Tree of Life and the Virtues and Vices of the ego are attributed to it. Can you tell when the virtues of the ego have quietly transformed into the vices of the ego? Thus, the devilish aspect of six is also its redeemer.
